This listing is for one soft cover journal made from sturdy black leather, sewn in the long stitch style with black waxed linen thread. The pages are black recycled handmade paper made from 100% recycled materials, with fully deckled edges.
I carefully select the papers I intend to recycle to make my handmade paper, as some materials commonly used to make recycled handmade paper have themselves been recycled so many times that they have essentially no fiber content, and are overloaded with inks and dyes. The materials I use were selected to create a versatile paper that is soft to the touch, easily worked with, and eco friendly.

Elegantly minimal. The paper takes ink perfectly; no runs or smudges. It has a lightly textured surface, a nice thickness, and folds without breaking. I haven’t tried pastels yet; I think the paper will likely hold and display them well. The leather cover is thick enough to protect the contents without being bulky and long enough that the ends could be folded in to protect the top and bottom of the papers. The binding method ensures pages lay flat for writing. Quite pleased with the item and look forward to purchasing more.
